Reminiscent of musical variety shows of the past, Clarkson opens the stage to live performances by well-known American artists. Unlike Cher's glamorous, staged numbers on her vintage namesake variety show, Kelly Clarkson sits with her guests, mic in hand, lending a harmony and a folksy word. Guests do drop names of former albums, production companies, and collaborators, and aren't shy about shouting out new projects.

Songs and Stories with Kelly Clarkson is best for fans of Clarkson and her guests, but is suitable for audiences of all ages. This show might even inspire viewers to gather around the piano for an in-home performance of some family favorites.
