Parent and Kid Reviews
What's the Story?
SPOT BOTS is a British kids' series designed to help develop observation, attention, and problem-solving skills. The series features a range of live-action sketches, where characters like Cosmo the Astronaut, and the singing mermaid duo Bubbles and Rock, participate in fun game activities that include puzzles to be solved. Introducing each segment are the Spot Bots, three animated robots who love to play games, too. At the end of each live-action segment, viewers are asked a series of questions about what they saw and heard to see if they can remember and solve the puzzle.
Is It Any Good?
This colorful series actively teaches children to pay attention to details by featuring games that require some kind of puzzle-solving. Viewers are reminded to observe what is happening during each sketch to spot specific items or clues, which are often highlighted with the help of children's voices. Meanwhile, the musical numbers, which are often played during a game, are intended for children to sing along with while they're looking for, or focusing on, specific details. Parents can easily participate with their children throughout each episode, too. Overall, Spot Bots is a fun, educational series that preschoolers will enjoy.
