What's the Story?

STAR WARS: SKELETON CREW takes place after the events in Return of the Jedi on the planet of At Attin. Wim (Ravi Cabot-Conyers) is a teenage boy living in At Attin's suburbs. He's bored with school and dreams of going on Jedi adventures like in the olden times. One day, Wim, his best friend, Neel (Robert Timothy Smith playing an elephant-like alien kid), and classmates Fern (Ryan Kiera Armstrong) and KB (Kyriana Kratter) discover the entrance to a mysterious relic. Inside, Wim accidentally activates the launch sequence of what turns out to be a spaceship, and the four kids get sent into space. They reach Port Bongo, a base for space pirates, and realize that not everyone in space is friendly. Luckily, they meet Jod Na Nawood (Jude Law), a Force-friendly adult who's trying to help them return to their home planet. But getting back to At Attin will be an adventure greater than Wim's wildest dreams.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:
Parents say ( 10 ):
Kids say ( 4 ):

It feels like the creators of this show were inspired by the 1980s coming-of-age adventure classic The Goonies, and you'll detect some Stranger Things vibes, too. Skeleton Crew's kid actors are fantastic. While some of the teens' problems are unique to the show's sci-fi setting, many Earthlings will relate to the characters' typical growing pains. The world of At Attin is super interesting, and Star Wars fanatics will enjoy formulating theories around how it fits into the larger Star Wars cinematic universe. Skeleton Crew is meant for a broad audience, but tween and teen viewers will relish a Star Wars storyline in which kids get to be the heroes.

  • Do you think this series is meant just for kids, or for Star Wars fans of all ages? Why?

  • Do you relate to any of the kids in Skeleton Crew? What feels similar or different to yourself?
