What's the Story?

In Santa's Super Monster Helpers, the younger Super Monsters class takes a field trip to the North Pole. The monsters meet Santa and get a behind-the-scenes tour of his workshop. They use their monster magic to build a giant snowman, but GrrBus accidentally knocks it over and ruins all the presents that Santa's supposed to deliver on Christmas Eve! The older Super Monsters class comes to help, and they work together with Santa's helpers to rebuild all of the broken presents. Using everyone's unique monster powers, they finish just in time for Santa to load up his sleigh. The Super Monsters learn the importance of teamwork and perseverance as they celebrate the joy of the season.

This Christmas special is a sweet holiday celebration with great positive messages for preschoolers. It's visually stunning, and little kids will love seeing the brightly colored details of Santa's North Pole workshop. It's an inclusive celebration that starts off with several of the Super Monsters talking about how they don't celebrate Christmas at all, and other monsters reassure them that Santa will still be happy to meet them. There's a great message of perseverance as the younger monsters make several mistakes throughout the episodes but are encouraged to keep trying by the older monsters. And most of all, the special emphasizes that the monsters can do hard things when they work together as a team. Kids will love this Christmas special and grown-ups will love the great examples the Super Monsters set for their kiddos.

  • The younger Super Monsters are still learning how to use their powers. They made mistakes at first, but they used perseverance to keep trying until they got it. What do you think you can learn if you keep practicing over and over?

  • Does your family celebrate Christmas? Or any other winter holidays, like some of the Super Monsters? What are some ways we celebrate holidays?
