What's the Story?
TEYANA AND IMAN is a reality series that follows the lives of an entertainer and an athlete. Singer and actress Teyana Taylor and NBA champion Iman Shumpert are newlyweds with a baby daughter named Junie. Along with Teyana's parents and good friends, they work out their schedules and try to keep their lives in order. But despite the fact that their professional lives keep them busy, they always put family first.
Is It Any Good?
This formulaic reality series features another celebrity couple showing how they live their lives as regular people. Viewers get to watch Teyana on video shoots, Iman trying to get Junie to sleep, and some intimate moments between the couple and their daughter.
The duo appears to be working hard to strike a work-life balance in a positive way. While this is certainly a good thing, like any reality show, they're also committed to promoting themselves. Fans of the couple may enjoy tuning in, but Teyana and Iman doesn't really offer anything new.
Talk to Your Kids About ...
Families can talk about how difficult it is to balance one's professional and personal lives. Does having a reality show about both parts of someone's life make striking this balance more difficult?
Reality shows like Teyana and Iman are promotional vehicles for the celebrities who star in them. Are there ever any other reasons for celebrities to have a reality show?
