The Art of Sarah
Parent and Kid Reviews
What's the Story?
THE ART OF SARAH begins with the murder of a beautiful young woman and an investigation that soon unveils a complex web of fraud and a stolen identity. The story follows the victim's ascent to the top of the ultra-high-end luxury bag business and elite society in Korea, revealing the lengths she went to in order to fabricate a new life among the top 0.1%.
Is It Any Good?
Reminiscent of Inventing Anna and nearly as captivating, this K-drama draws the viewer into a world where the stakes of social climbing are extreme. The Art of Sarah's investigation into Sarah's potentially stolen life feels both high-stakes and deeply intriguing. Perfect for fans of stories centered on the dark side of high society and the lengths people will go to for a taste of the 0.1%.
Talk to Your Kids About ...
Families can talk about how characters in The Art of Sarah judge each other entirely based on their luxury bags and clothes. Discuss if you've ever felt pressured to have a certain brand to fit in, and talk about how focusing only on what someone owns can prevent people from seeing who others actually are.
Sarah assumes a fake identity to reach the top of society. This is a good opening to talk about the difference between being successful and being authentic.
