The Bad Guys: Breaking In
What's the Story?
In THE BAD GUYS: BREAKING IN, Wolf and his group of super criminal friends are just getting started. They want to make it onto the city's "Worst of the Worst list" where all the other "bad guys" are featured, but there's one big question: Are they bad enough? The series follows Wolf (voiced by Michael Godere), Snake (Chris Diamantopoulos), Shark (Ezekiel Ajeigbe), Webs (Mallory Low), and Piranha (Raul Ceballos) as they find their way as a team, learning about one another along the way and discovering the strength in their differences.
Is It Any Good?
Cheeky and full of action, this prequel combines the expert comedy of The Bad Guys movies with the novice charm of a gang just starting out. In The Bad Guys: Breaking In, the characters are not only improving their craft but also learning about themselves and each other. As their friendship grows, they find their differences can actually be a strength. This may not be what you'd expect of a show about animals trying to be criminals, but that's part of its charm.
The animation style is different from the movies, with more 2D elements that give it a unique look. The character voices are also different—but none of these creative changes make it any less fun. Older kids will still enjoy the funny heist mishaps. The messages about friendship and teamwork are subtle, though, so younger kids might not catch them right away.
Talk to Your Kids About ...
Families can talk about all the funny fails in The Bad Guys: Breaking In. The team makes mistakes as they figure out how to work together. What are some of the challenges of working with people who are different from you?
Some characters in the show appear to be good but are really bad. Others are called bad but have a good heart. Do you think we are just one thing or the other? Does good people do bad things sometimes?
