What's the Story?

In THE BAD GUYS: HAUNTED HEIST, Wolf and his ragtag crew of animal thieves set out to pull off the ultimate Halloween heist. Wolf tells Shark, Piranha, Tarantula, and Snake about their goal: the Crescent Amulet that lies within the abandoned mansion of Reginald E. Scary. They immediately protest and point out that Wolf has used past Halloweens as an opportunity to prank and scare the gang. Wolf convinces them to come to the mansion anyway. There, they encounter a haunted suit of armor, and the ghost of Reginald himself. The Bad Guys grab the Crescent Amulet, but then Wolf has nightmares and starts hearing things. Wolf and the Bad Guys return the Crescent Amulet to the mansion, where there's even more spooky surprises in store.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:
Parents say ( 2 ):
Kids say ( 3 ):

For kids who think they want to be scared but can't handle real scares, The Bad Guys: Haunted Heist is the perfect Halloween special. The "guys" are absolutely absurd, and the overall tone of silliness keeps things from veering into terrifying territory. Plot twists are many, and there's just enough spookiness to keep things fun. The Bad Guys won't be winning awards for being role models anytime soon, but they are lovable just the same. Haunted Heist is a fun spooky season watch, especially for fans of the Bad Guys movie or books.

Talk to Your Kids About ...

  • Families can talk about the Halloween pranks Wolf has pulled on the other Bad Guys. When are pranks fun? When are pranks not so fun? How can you tell?

  • Do you think any of the paranormal activity in Reginald E. Scary's mansion could be real in real life? Do you believe in ghosts?

  • The Bad Guys are likable, even though they make a lot of bad choices. They sure are funny, but do you think it's a good idea to make "bad guys" the main characters of a show or movie? Why, or why not?
