What's the Story?

In THE CHOSEN ADVENTURES, Abby (Romy Fay) is a rambunctious nine-year-old who wants to know the meaning behind everything. Her exhausted parents share their tradition with her, encouraging her to slow down, to pray, to love the life she's experiencing. One day, she and her friend, Joshua, are running errands for their parents when they come upon a man named Jesus who is setting up his campsite near their homes near Galilee. He shows them that he is a carpenter, but he tells them he is also a teacher. Will Abby encounter this gentle stranger again? Will his words influence her life?

Faith-based messages provide the moral backbone of this golden-hued cartoon show. Effectively creating a trusting family environment, where a curious child weaves her way through the village, The Chosen Adventures offers comforting viewing with a dose of religion.

Young viewers can enjoy this show with their families, as it is energetic and fluid. However, those who do not identify as Christian may feel slightly alienated by the Judeo-Christian themes. Even Jewish viewers, whose faith is practiced by characters in this show, might notice that Jesus is the one who brings magic into the synagogue, not the Rabbi or the other worshippers (who fall asleep during the services). In this regard, this series may edge those out who might love to be included.
