What's the Story?
THE CROMARTIES is a reality series about the day-to-day life of former NFL cornerback Antonio Cromartie and his wife, former reality star Terricka, as they raise their blended family. Cromartie is now a free agent and a stay-at-home dad to six of his 14 children. But his parenting style can be challenging, and he must find a way to work with Terricka to raise their large brood the best way they can.
Is It Any Good?
This mildly fun series features a large family learning how to adjust to their new life together, with varying results. From planning a birthday party to keeping a family budget, Terricka sets the rules, while Antonio gently breaks them. Interactions with the children also create some humorous moments.
The cast is privileged, but they all come across as kind and caring. However, like many unscripted shows, most of the events featured on The Cromarties feel staged for the cameras. Nonetheless, fans of the football player might be entertained by what they find here.
Talk to Your Kids About ...
Families can talk about the reasons that professional athletes have their own reality shows. To show that they can do something else outside of their sport? To extend their brand?
Does The Cromarties represent what many other successful athletes' lives are like once their NFL team career is over? What do most sports stars do after they stop playing?
