What's the Story?
THE FIXER is an unscripted series featuring CEO, entrepreneur, and business investor Marcus Lemonis as he helps people empower themselves to build and maintain successful businesses. Lemonis meets with several business owners at the beginning of each episode to briefly discuss their business, improvements that can be made, and whether the business is appropriate for him to invest in. Once he selects a business with the potential for investment and growth, he helps the owners and managers to understand his "3 P Philosophy" (focus on people, process, and product) and work on each in hopes of making it a viable, long-term investment.
Is It Any Good?
The unscripted series feels like a combination of The Profit and Shark Tank as it offers insights into how small business owners can take steps to improve their profit margin. Marcus Lemonis addresses things like organizational communication, client research, and the need for good marketing. He also highlights that sometimes downsizing will bring more benefits than trying to branch out, and shows business owners different processes to understand their cash flow, improve payroll, and attract employees and clients. But The Fixer is also a commercial vehicle for Lemonis, as well as for the companies he works with, and for some of the sponsors of the show.
