The Snake
Parent and Kid Reviews
What's the Story?
In THE SNAKE, contestants known for their persuasive or deceptive abilities compete to gain power by becoming "The Snake," the player who controls which player goes home each week. Challenges mix fear-based dares with social dynamics, all wrapped in a flashy, over-the-top presentation.
Is It Any Good?
This competition show glorifies lying, emotional manipulation, and strategic betrayal with very little nuance. Contestants on The Snake are reduced to caricatures, complete with themed outfits that verge on costume-level absurdity. While some viewers may enjoy watching deception unfold, the show's underlying message—that the only way to win is to suppress empathy and weaponize charisma—makes for uncomfortable and unsatisfying viewing.
