The Whitest Kids U' Know

The sketch show is a mixed bag, not in quality, but in style. Some skits are interesting deconstructions of the American education system, U.S. Domestic and Foreign Policy, and history. On the flip side, many sketches are extremely low brow with frequent swearing, gross-out humor, and sexual innuendo. Their best sketches toe the line between those two extremes. As a general rule, I'd recommend you screen each skit before allowing your child to watch it. Some parents may be comfortable with their kids hearing strong language but not comfortable with their kids hearing adult perspectives of sex; they definitely have sketches that accommodate. I will say that although this show depicts many negative activities such as drug use, alcohol abuse, or foul language, it's almost always presented as the idiotic part of the situation. (i.e, a sketch featuring a punk rocker defecating on a stage is meant to mock the pointlessly destructive lifestyles of the rebellious youth, or a sketch depicting two grown men accusing each other of being gay is meant to highlight the insane immaturity of namecalling.) Regarding the quality of the show, its humor and commentary are extremely palatable to the minds of teenagers and young adults. Depending on your age and your taste of humor, you may not get the humor or enjoyment from this show, especially because many of its non-vulgar sketches rely on surrealist humor. Even if you as a parent find some or most of its humor lowbrow, however, as long as you are comfortable with your teenager's ability to think critically about what is and isn't appropriate, then letting them watch episodes in full on their own ought to be fine. On a final note, definitely do not consider letting your child watch this if you are not comfortable with them hearing foul language or think they may be disturbed by darker humor. From that point, screen sketches for any negative sexual content until you are sure your kid is responsible enough to handle that content. Though at face value many of the sketches are inflammatory, offensive, and reprehensible, most of them have nuanced messages regarding moderation, tolerance, chastity, and civility.

I honestly am a fan. But this show has decapitation, etc. They throw drug use here and there. In some episodes they uncensore f--k, s--t and rarely c--t. But it is a nice show with funny and random skits.

i started watching this show when i was ten, and wow the things i learned in a negative way although funny at times it would be disgusting and raunchy. i started watching it on yotube and saw the call of duty one first it was pretty funny but then i started watching it on ifc and they would say what they want when they want. there is a lot of sexual mentions in it. they swear a lot some bleeped some not. they smoke weed a lot they also drink but a lot of it is making political jokes. this show is defiantly not for kids

This show is HILARIOUS! It can be very offensive and vulgar, and I think the DVD's contain explicit language and nudity, so I would not recommend those for children under 18. But just as long as you are watching the version where any nudity is censored, this show may be appropriate for children 15 years of age and older. But be warned: this show can get very vulgar. You may want to screen an episode before you let your child watch it if he or she is under 17, even if it is a censored version.

The show's not meant for younger kids, don't let them watch it.
