What's the Story?

Based on the popular Italian kid's book series, TIP THE MOUSE is a children's CGI animated TV show about the adventures of a curious little mouse. Tip (voiced by Alyson Leigh Rosenfeld) lives with Mommy (Serra Hirsch), Daddy (Dave Wells), and baby sister Tippy in a tiny house located in a little village in a far corner of a meadow. He loves to play, especially with friends like Jody the chipmunk (Erica Schroeder) and his teddy bear. But growing up has its challenges, and Tip is learning important life lessons along the way.

Is It Any Good?

This pleasant series offers lots of life lessons that young viewers can identify with. Like any child, Tip is sometimes resistant to the rules, loses patience with friends, and can be a little sneaky from time to time. But while he can be stubborn, he is not disrespectful to adults, and he responds positively to his parents' gentle, but firm, guidance. Ultimately, Tip the Mouse creates a story world that reflects children's real-life feelings, experiences, and behaviors while offering some advice to help them get through various parts of growing up.

  • Families can talk about the messages Tip the Mouse sends about being a kid. Why does Tip sometimes resist what his parents and other adults tell him? Do you sometimes feel this way? Does having someone explain why things should be done help you feel better about it?

  • How can TV shows and other media help teach kids life skills and positive behaviors? Should we rely on media to help kids learn life lessons? Parents: How can watching TV programs with your kids help them think about the messages they offer?

  • What do families look like on some of your favorite TV shows? Do a lot of the families have a mom who stays at home and a dad who works? Does everyone have a sister or brother? If someone made a animated series based on your family, what would it be like?
