What's the Story?

Deep in the forest live the TURBOZAURS, dinosaurs that transform into vehicles to keep their identities secret. But when they meet siblings Peter and Katie, they become a rescue team, helping others in need in the forest, the city, and wherever they are needed!

When a premise has been done too many times, it's hard to stand out. It's true that Turbozaurs has elements that appeal to toddlers: dinos, vehicles, adventures, and rescue missions. Yet its stories seem rushed in the 7-minute episode length, and some production elements hinder understanding, like loud music that distracts from the story. Overall, while Turbozaurs offers entertainment, it's hard to justify choosing it over other similar shows.

Talk to Your Kids About ...

  • Families can talk about the teamwork element of Turbozaurs. Peter leads the group and gives tasks based on each character's strength. Do you think that's a good way of working together? Should task-assignment be more collaborative?

  • Jo is the only girl in the Turbozaurs team, and she's the only car that's not a "working vehicle." Why do you think that is?

  • Rescue scenarios in the show vary in stakes. What do you like more? When they are relatable, like a cat stuck in a tree, or when it's exciting, like a meteor coming down on us?
