What's the Story?

From Alex Cooper's Unwell Network comes the Unwell Winter Games, an unscripted competition series featuring controversial reality stars, social media influencers, and media personalities competing in winter-themed challenges in Park City, Utah. Hosted by Instagram comedian Adam Waheed, the four-part YouTube series stars 16 contestants, including convicted scammer-turned-media personality Anna Delvey Sorokin, wrestler Saraya-Jade Bevis, Huda Mustafa and Louis Russell from the Love Island franchise, and Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' Dakota Mortensen and Demi Engemann competing in physical and emotional challenges for cash winnings. They're also divided into teams compete for a top group prize. In addition, they must navigate all the tension and drama that inevitably arises between them. Adding to the fun are commentators Grace O'Malley and Graydon Cutler.

The silly and voyeuristic four-day winter competition brings together contestants chosen for their media notoriety and their love of creating chaos on camera. The challenges take place on snow and ice and are sometimes amusing. But the real drama unfolds at the chalet, where longtime grudges resurface, schemes to eliminate one another are concocted, and new sexual interests emerge. Some folks also lean into the behaviors that make them infamous. Adding a few twists here and there are unexpected arrivals of castmates or new pieces of information that can potentially change the overall dynamics of the group. Like most unscripted series of this type, it's meant to be a guilty pleasure. But Unwell Winter Games gives yet another platform to individuals who have relied on being extremely obnoxious, mean, and in the case of Anna Delvey Sorokin, their crimes in order to build and maintain an ongoing media presence. Ethics aren't a concern in this streaming competition, and there are few positive messages.
