What's the Story?

The three-part docuseries VICTORIA BECKHAM follows the former Spice Girl and fashion designer as she shares her personal story. The mother of four and wife of footballer David Beckham shares what she was like as a child, as a member of a successful girl band, and her struggle to define who she is and her trajectory once she stopped performing. The struggles Victoria has had coping with media, especially after the Spice Girls broke up, is also discussed. As she prepares to show her clothing collection at Paris Fashion Week, Victoria reveals the work that has gone into creating her brand, and the commitment she has to continue building an independent and successful career. Throughout it all, archive footage of her, her husband, and her family taken over the years is featured, and interviews with her husband, Eva Longoria, Tom Ford, and others help round out her story.

The honest docuseries follows Beckham's journey from an awkward girl to a strong, smart entrepreneur while raising four children with one of the most famous footballers in sports history. Victoria Beckham shares some of struggles she faced to define who she was and her life goals while in the public eye, including wrestling with body shaming and an eating disorder. But these conversations are rather superficial, and compete with the scenes of her getting her fashion collection ready to show in Paris. Nonetheless, Beckham comes across as genuine, smart, and someone who doesn't define herself according to her famous husband's actions or success, which makes her more interesting. Fans will findVictoria Beckham is a compelling watch.
