What's the Story?

WAYNE BRADY: THE FAMILY REMIX follows comedian Wayne Brady's family, including his ex-wife, their daughter, and his ex-wife's life partner (who was also Wayne's backup dancer). It documents their uniquely close family structure as well as Wayne's personal revelations involving his sexuality and other things he's held secret.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:

This reality show stands out for its portrayal of diversity and radical acceptance in regard to ethnicity, sexuality, divorce, formerly incarcerated individuals, and more. On the downside, Brady's choices in Wayne Brady: The Family Remix often feel self-centered, sometimes overshadowing, or ignoring, others' experiences. Conversations seem staged, especially when footage from well before the show began is spliced into the dialogue. Overall, the message is a uniquely positive one but Brady isn't as likable as viewers might expect from his goofy persona on Whose Line Is It Anyway?.
