What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Wild Kratts: Cats and Dogs is a special that's part of the Wild Kratts animal adventure series. There's some animal kingdom-related suspense that's pretty tame but may bother very young viewers. Predators stalk prey, but they don't succeed in killing them, and a lion pretty ferociously 'kills" a robot. A mother cat gets separated from her hungry meowing kittens before eventually being reunited. The humans have some conflict too: hapless villain Zach throws the Kratt brothers out of his airplane and is generally antagonistic. However, the conflict is mostly silly and the Kratts never seem like they're in actual peril. Kids that love cats or dogs will love learning more about their furry friends in this fun special.

The animated Kratt brothers go to the African savannah to learn how wild cats and dogs compare to their domesticated counterparts. The Kratt brothers argue over whether cats or dogs are better, and they transform into different kinds of wild dogs and cats to help make their case. Meanwhile, evil genius Zach, an inventor, decides to kidnap wild dogs and cats and sell them as pets. It's up to the brothers to rescue the wild animals and return them to their homes before it's too late.
