Windy Weatherfoot
Parent and Kid Reviews
What's the Story?
In WINDY WEATHERFOOT, Windy (Rainier Treviño) and her twin brother, Walker (Gabriel Paz Quijano), are the children of Mother Nature. They live in a magical treehouse with portals to different environments, like the beach, desert, and jungle. Windy and Walker also have nature powers: They can control the weather and talk to animals, which is handy since they're friends with a bird, hippo, unicorn, and other creatures. In every episode, Windy and Walker help an animal or plant that's in need. Sometimes, the trouble is caused by the Snarkles: furry monsters that spread "snarkle rot" wherever they go. Windy and Walker work with their friends to solve the problem and help nature together.
Is It Any Good?
While the characters are fun and the animation is great, Windy Weatherfoot doesn't live up to its potential. The episodes are only three minutes long, and the stories miss opportunities to teach kids about nature and things they can do in real life to help the environment. There's nothing worrisome or iffy in the episodes, but Windy Weatherfoot could have more substance for its young audience.
