A lot or a little?

The parents' guide to what's in this TV show.

Positive Messages

It’s a prank show, but it also shows families working together and (mostly) enjoying themselves.

Positive Role Models & Representations

Family members have fun at the expense of their celebrity relative, but it’s not intended to be mean.

Pranks include inappropriate yelling, screaming, throwing, shoving, breaking, etc. No one gets hurt during the process.

Some installments feature some very mild sexual innuendo that are meant to be more humorous than sexy.

Words like "pissed." Curses are bleeped.

The New Cooking School and logos for other local venues are briefly shown.

Drinking, Drugs & Smoking

A few of the events serve alcohol, but it’s not obvious.

What parents need to know

Parents need to know that You Kiddin' Me?! is a celebrity prank-themed series that streams on Facebook Watch. Lots of goofy, embarrassing moments are orchestrated by the featured celebs' family members, but the show isn’t intended to be mean spirited overall. Pranks include yelling, screaming, throwing and breaking things, etc. Words like "piss" are used, but actual curses are bleeped. Alcohol is served at a few of the made-up events, but it’s not prominently shown.

What's the story?

Co-produced by Kim Kardashian West, YOU KIDDIN’ ME?! is a Facebook Watch series where celebrities let their families tell them what to do in order to pull off the perfect prank. From the Kardashian sisters making mom Kris Jenner go crazy at an art gallery event, to Lisa Rinna’s kids making her lose her cool in a cooking class, viewers get to watch as celebs are instructed on-site via an ear piece to do unexpectedly obnoxious, annoying, and downright strange things to the surprise of the folks around them.

Is it any good?

This lighthearted and entertaining series features lots of laughs as celebrities are forced to do nutty things that embarrass them by the people who love them most. Also funny are people’s reactions to these behaviors, which range from being surprised to extremely annoyed.

It’s not mean-spirited, but You Kiddin' Me?! is all about watching people squirm with embarrassment. Chances are you’ll also snicker along with the folks behind the scenes who are calling the shots. No doubt that teen Facebook users will enjoy tuning in.

Talk to your kids about ...

  • Families can talk about the difference between a prank that's "all in good fun," and one that is mean. What are the lines that should be drawn when playing a trick on someone?

  • Why do you think celebrities agree to appear on You Kiddin' Me?!  Is it to have some fun with their family, or are their appearances really publicity stunts?
