What's the Story?

When Peter Parker starts high school, he's ready for success. And he finds it, meeting new friends like Nico and Lonnie and working hard in his classes, especially science. Meanwhile, thanks to a little interdimensional spider bite, he's also gaining notoriety throughout the neighborhood as Spider-Man. When Peter gets a paid internship at Oscorp thanks to Norman Osborn, things seem to be going great. But is there something sinister going on there? Balancing all the parts of his busy life is a challenge, but Spider-Man always seems to manage.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:
Parents say ( 9 ):
Kids say ( 7 ):

This lively, fast-paced, fun series answers the question: Do we really need another Spider-Man? The answer is a resounding yes; Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is a welcome addition to the franchise. Viewers will find lots of new and old faces, from Dr. Strange to Amadeus Cho, who come together to fight various villains and the overarching threat of Norman Osborn. Meanwhile, there's also lots of fun teen drama: Peter's got a crush on his old babysitter, and it's always enjoyable to watch him deal with juggling a million regular tasks while lending his Spidey skills to New York. This series also must be lauded for its diversity; the detail put into even the smallest background characters is outstanding and makes Parker's New York feel like the melting pot it truly is.
