What parents need to know

Parents need to know that 24 Game - Single Digits is a competitive card game that allows kids to practice manipulating single digit numbers. On each level, kids add, subtract, multiply, and/or divide the four numbers to return an answer of 24. This can be done by either tapping an operator and then tapping the two numbers to use with it, or by tapping the first number, dragging a finger to the second number, and then tapping the operator. Those numbers are then combined and kids work with the result along with the remaining numbers. After eight levels that gradually increase in difficulty, the elapsed time for that round is recorded. The game can be challenging at first, but after several play throughs, strategies will most likely emerge. Many schools hold "24" competitions and this app provides a digital way to play this popular learning game.

Is it any good?

24 GAME - SINGLE DIGITS is an addictive and challenging math game for kids that will also challenge adults. Getting a wrong answer anywhere in the round of eight levels sends you back to the beginning of the round, which can be frustrating. The lack of instructions and the inability to pause the game hamper its simple gameplay, but the concept and educational benefits are still quite solid. If you are already familiar with the card game, then the lack of instructions won't be a problem, and this app provides a way to practice the competitive cards.
