What parents need to know

Ease of play

Some of the tools you use are very simple and easy to manipulate, while others, like the syringe, require an incredibly steady hand and can be a bit frustrating at times.

Violence

While you are trying to save people's lives in the game, you will still be cutting people's abdomens and internal organ open with a pizza cutter. You'll be using everyday items to perform surgery, like a lighter to burn wounds closed, a chainsaw to remove broken bones, and a vacuum to suck up blood. Blood is plentiful. And the patients you're operating on always seem to have been through horribly traumatic accidents, often with various objects poking out through various wounds.

Sex

There is some raunchy humor in the game (a joke about a patient with crabs, for example). And female patients are often in sexy lingerie. A dominatrix character drags a small man behind her by a chain attached to his nipples.

Language

The inappropriate language here is mostly used in reference to the risqué jokes (see "Sex" above).

Consumerism
Not applicable
Drinking, drugs, & smoking

Many characters drink and smoke. One character has cigarettes stuck within his internal organs.

Privacy & safety

Some privacy concerns. Users can opt in to Open Feint, an interactive network, which allows users to upload real avatar photos, post on message boards, connect with Facebook friends or Twitter followers, and access live chat with strangers.

Some safety concerns. If users opt in to Open Feint they can choose to share their personal information with strangers.

Parents Need to Know

Parents need to know that Amateur Surgeon 2 is an incredibly gory spoof of emergency room dramas. The titular doctor is an illegal practitioner who uses household items, like pizza cutters and chainsaws, to cut open his patients. The patients are often people who've been injured in the pursuit of something illegal. There are adult themes throughout, and potentially offensive sexual humor as well. There is, for example, a dominatrix who wants extreme piercings -- in her lungs -- and an assumed prostitute who has crabs, meaning she has literal crustaceans crawling inside her body.

QUALITY

AMATEUR SURGEON 2, the sequel to the popular Amateur Surgeon app, is a goofy, over-the-top gory spoof of emergency room dramas. For a certain audience (those who love South Park, perhaps), the dark-yet-immature humor will be much appreciated. The gameplay is a lot of fun at first, as you have to rush from one instrument to the next, slicing and extracting, to heal your patient before his or her heart rate reaches zero. But it can grow repetitive. While the 20 patients all have humorously different conditions to heal, the procedures you'll use to heal them don't change much.

Less then the first one in charactors :(

I think this one cost more, too. I like the first one. I hope a #3 is in progress.
