What’s It About?
Inspired by the cartoon Ben 10, SUPER SLIME BEN has you competing in an American Ninja Warrior-like game show. In it, you have to climb up a bunch of boxes while a pool of slime quickly fills up below you, and falling into that slime takes you out of the competition. You also get to play as all of Ben's alien buddies from the show.
Is It Any Good?
Inspired by the cartoon, this clever but challenging arcade game will engage both fans of the show and fans of simple but addictive arcade games. In Ben 10: Super Slime Ben, you have to jump on a series of boxes in an attempt to stay out of a pool of slime that's quickly filling up beneath you. This is accomplished by tapping on the left or right of the screen to jump that way, or sliding your finger in that direction to do a slide move. The biggest obstacle to your progress is that when boxes are stacked, and you can't jump on top of one, you smash it instead. Sometimes, you have to repeat this process to proceed, which slows you down considerably or possibly knocks you into the slime.
There are also lots of metal nuts lying around to collect (nuts being the currency you need to unlock new characters and other things), as well as keys that unlock doors to special areas. It's all very clever and challenging, even if you're not a fan of the cartoon. Though, having said that, really young fans of the 'toon might find themselves wishing the slime pool didn't fill up so quickly, or that getting slimed wouldn't end your game right away unless you watch a video ad. Still, with simple but clever mechanics, Super Slime Ben will entertain human and alien gamers alike.
