What parents need to know

Parents need to know that Brain Quest Blast Off: Grade 3 is a relatively challenging third grade curriculum disguised as a quiz-show-like trivia game. Questions are presented in varied formats -- multiple choice, true or false, fill in the blank, unscramble the letters, and more. This not only adds variety, but forces kids to think in different ways and work different parts of their brains. This is more than just a trivia game. There are also Brain Quest apps in the same style, that are also geared for older and younger kids.

Is it any good?

BRAIN QUEST BLAST OFF: GRADE 3 was designed to make the experience of playing the game as much fun as possible. It never feels like homework. On the contrary, it often feels like an exciting quiz show, especially during the timed "Rocket Rounds." The questions can be tough, but are definitely age appropriate. Third graders should expect a true test of their general knowledge. Kids can also earn trophies and advance to harder levels, giving them more incentive to play on.
