BEWARE - keep charging you even after subscription cancelled

We tried the free trial period however my daughter found it too easy so we cancelled before trial period was over. Months later I am still being charged by the foos.com which is code spark. When you email the support team they tell you its being billed through Apple and they will not credit you. Then Apple confirms it is not being billed through then and you continue to be billed. There is no way to call and get any issue resolved. You can only email. Very frustrating process! This issue has gone on for 10 months with no resolution. BE CAREFUL if you decide to try the trial because you could be ripped off just like our family!

BEWARE - keep charging you even after subscription cancelled We used this app a year, then I tried to cancel it, it was a tough but finally we cancelled it (but it took much time), and after cancellation we were still being charged. I emailed to the support team, they helped me but now, after 2 months, I found out accidentally that they started to charge us again,... BE CAREFUL!

more silly game then learning game

kids love this game, but I really question the educational value. they just like to name the animals, and feed them but don't really learn about loops, etc. It's also quite expensive.

An very good coding app where the kid make their own games and stories.

This is a good coding app that is easy to get into, particularly the Puzzles mode, which is a good intro to block-based coding. I love how the game teaches problem-solving and alternate ways to meet a goal, quite similarly to actual coding. Then, once they get to the Create mode, it's where kids can use what they learned, where they can create their own game and/or a story where they can use their own voice for characters and move them around using code. I also like how some of the app also teaches complex things like variables and using "less than" and "greater than"--also a very common thing you use in code. My kid loves the little blue guy named "Glitch" who appears everywhere (often to cause some kind of havoc).

The best Coding Game EVER!

I am a K-5 Technology/STEM teacher and my kids go crazy for this app. It is by far their favorite coding game. It is a great game for kids to use their critical thinking skills and creative problem solving. The kids love the characters and challenges the game has to offer. They could spend hours playing it and they don't even know they are learning. Easy enough for my Kinders and challenging enough for my older kiddos.

GREAT TEACHING AID

A wonderful way to teach coding in the classroom. Comes with Lesson Plans for teachers and students love the 'game' aspect of the app. Wonderful for both coding concepts and computational thinking/problem solving skills.

Use codeSpark to Teach Basic Coding to Younger Children

Looking for coding activities for younger students? CodeSpark is an excellent program to help younger children learn to code (ages 5-8). Sequencing skills learned in codeSpark Academy can enhance early literacy and mathematics. Self-directed lessons are created to help students work independently and skills are reinforced as students complete sequential learning blocks. It's a great way to teach younger students how to code and fun while they learn. CodeSpark also incorporates empathy, creativity, and logic.

Love The Foos by Codespark!

I've been teaching with The Foos by Codespark since they first came out and have been a big fan ever since. My young students love the characters and the challenges. The puzzles start out with easy and concepts and quickly move into more challenging coding problems that require critical thinking, creative problem-solving, and help teach kids sequencing and loops. Love it!
