Kids who like cars can imagine wacky vehicles - fab!

My car-mad son loves creating his own fantasy vehicles using drag and drop. He can then make them 'start up' and rev within the confines of his garage. He likes the multi option check list of car characteristics as well as adding his own car names and notes. It does seem a shame the cars never hit the road, but he has still had hours of fun on his own and with friends building dream cars.

CREATE A CAR allows kids to stretch their definition of what a "car" is with some very imaginative parts and accessories to choose from, like fins, wings, jet engines, fishing poles, and time travel devices. The app definitely allows for lots of creativity. There can be some frustration in finding that certain parts, in the way they are drawn, don't really fit together well, and it seems like a flaw that wheels can only be placed outside the car's body. It would also have been really nice to have someplace for your vehicles to actually drive -- even a simple one-lane road -- but seeing your car spin its wheels inside the garage is the best you get. Still, creative kids can have a lot of fun mixing and matching these parts and pieces. It's certainly a decent app for the dollar.
