Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Dress Up Rush HD simulates running a boutique clothing shop, with a focus on time management and customer service, rather than fashion or dressing up. Interspersed between the levels is a storyline that follows the main character as she opens and expands her store, talks with friends, and dates. The scenes are often in bars or at the beach with drinks nearby, with women wearing bikinis and sexy clothing. In the actual game, the bulk of activity involves responding to customers' demands before their wait time expires, which requires quick responses and some time management. A link from the start menu lets you email friends and see more games from the developer, or sign up to get more information through email, Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube.
Drinking, Drugs & Smoking
a little
Several of the story scenes take place in bars, parties, or restaurants with drinks nearby or in characters' hands.

Several of the story scenes between levels show scantily clad women, for example in bikinis with cleavage. Most of the women are disproportionately slender and busty. There is some implied sexual tension between Jane and a man she is dating, such as her inviting him over, but nothing explicit. During play, some of the customers bare their midriffs or shoulders.

A link from the start menu lists more games from the developer; the link has an exclamation point icon when new games are added to the list. There is also an option to sign up for a newsletter to join the G5 game club and receive special offers and discounts. After a few of the first levels, a link pops up to ask if you will rate the game.
Language
very little
There is no bad language, but the grammar and wording is incorrect in several statements that are repeated throughout the game.

Learning to play is relatively easy, with tips that gradually introduce you to different actions, though not always during the correct level when that action is first required. There is also a tutorial in the help section of the menu. The levels gradually progress in difficulty, with the number and speed of customers' demands increasing as well as your target sales for the day. Later levels require very quick responses. Multiple players can have saved games running simultaneously, and high scores are saved.
DRESS UP RUSH HD promotes pursuing your dreams and, like many time-management sims, teaches some basic concepts about running a store. Despite the "dress up" title though, the clothing is surprisingly dated and outlandish. And while your customers' clothing and mannerisms vary somewhat between levels as you improve the store, the diversity ends there -- all the characters and customers are white. The incorrect grammar in the tips also gives the game an unpolished feel. However, the good controls and many levels will provide many hours of engaging play for budding entrepreneurs with quick fingers.
