ETCH A SKETCH HD FOR iPAD provides a good-looking -- but less user-friendly -- virtual version of the classic drawing toy. Using the knobs to draw proves much trickier to pull off on a flat iPad screen than it does with real three-dimensional knobs you can hold and turn on a real Etch a Sketch. You can also draw directly on the screen with your finger, but that sort of kills the whole Etch a Sketch feel. There are some nice extras, like the ability to add stickers to your artwork. But on the whole, the Etch a Sketch feels like a toy best left in the offline world.
