Fabulous - Cuentos y Cantos
What's It About?
FABULOUS – CUENTOS Y CANTOS offers a collection of social-emotional learning themed audio stories for little ones and corresponding informative podcasts for parents. The content is entirely in Spanish. The first season currently offers seven stories with another coming soon. Simply scroll to explore the titles and tap to listen to the story. The app offers families the option to project each story to speakers or TVs. Tapping the button with the music note fast forwards the story to its theme song, which summarizes the key lessons. The app is free to try, with access to the first story, Fermin el puercoespin. In-app purchase is necessary to listen to all other stories and podcasts. Each story has its own information button, where families can get a preview of the themes addressed in the story. For example, Guido el loro, addresses fear, self-esteem, responsibility, and gratitude. The podcast button opens us a series of episodes that correspond to each story and explore social-emotional themes at greater depth, providing practical information for parents, insight on child development, and tips on how to help kids navigate social-emotional development.

The short audio stories are beautifully narrated and will capture and keep a little one's attention. The design is simple, but intentional. It doesn't offer tons of stimuli on screen. Other than the cover illustration, the stories solely rely on audio, promoting visualization and imagination, which are key skills for little kids. The quality of the content is what really makes Fabulous - Cuentos y Cantos stand out. The stories relay powerful messages in a kid-friendly way and serve as the perfect starting point for conversations to promote social-emotional learning. Families will find the podcasts extremely informative and useful, providing practical tips and simplifying certain aspects of child development.
