High Educational Value

I want to be sure that the apps my kids use are secure. I read about this on vpnexpress.net. Kids can use this app unsupervised. It has high educational value.

Is It Any Good?

GEO-ME's musical, animated videos -- which are reminiscent of the old Schoolhouse Rock animations -- introduce kids to the different types of areas in the world by population, climate, elevation, and more. The minute-long stories are ideal for younger kids, while even older kids may enjoy learning about these unique places via the offbeat characters and original animations. There are some portions of this app that could be better explained (such as the whys behind creating Geo-Me families), and the song builder feature could use some additions. As a result, a full tutorial, more explanations, and more character stories could be useful additions. With more location character stories promised for the future, Geo-Me! can only get better, and it's already good.

The places highlighted here are not the typical locations presented in geography lessons for kids. At the time of this review, there are lots of little Geo-Mes with the geographic and demographic info, but only six Geo-Me animated character stories: Norman in California; Isabel in the Dominican Republic; Philippe & Simon in France; Wen-Long in Hong Kong; Yasemin in Turkey; and Eliza in Australia (the developer promises more in the future). Kids can also create their own Geo-Me that represents the same information about their home city as the other Geo-Mes in other areas of the map. Geo-Me! is an offbeat, creative way to help kids learn geography and feel like citizens of the world.
