What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Kahoot! Geometry by DragonBox is an exciting geometry game with more than 100 challenging puzzles. Kids learn the fundamental, as well as the more advanced, concepts related to shapes and geometric proofs. Kids can choose from two levels of difficulty, and the puzzles in both levels get increasingly harder to complete. By tapping, drawing, and dragging, kids solve puzzles and gather creatures to form an army and fight the enemy monster, Osgard. The puzzles are highly engaging, and the graphics are bright and colorful. This is a true example of game-based learning. It's important to note that many of the puzzles can be quite difficult, and hints are not available. Parents may need to provide guidance to help kids avoid frustration.

What’s It About?
KAHOOT! GEOMETRY BY DRAGONBOX begins with a simple, nicely animated background story about a monster taking over a tower, offered in 17 languages. Kids have to collect critters to build an army and fight the monster. They do this by solving the puzzles. Kids can choose from two challenges: normal or hard. Once they choose a challenge, kids work their way through 10 puzzles to progress to the next level. The levels are organized into seven chapters, and kids learn new powers, or rules, in each chapter. As kids solve the puzzles, they develop an understanding of different geometric concepts. However, the game does not review or reinforce the concepts directly, so, if you want kids to be able to transfer what they've learned to another learning environment, it's important to use the parent and teacher resources on the developer's website.
Is It Any Good?
This is a fun, innovative way for kids to learn about geometry. The puzzles are so engaging in Kahoot! Geometry by DragonBoxKAHOOT! GEOMETRY BY DRAGONBOX, it’s hard to put them down. They also do an excellent job of progressing in difficulty and building on concepts learned in previous puzzles. With game-based learning, kids will have fun building their armies of geometric critters while exploring the fundamentals of geometry. Some of the puzzles are very difficult to solve, so it would be great to see some hints added. However, the developer's website has excellent resources that parents can use if kids need extra support.
