What parents need to know

Parents need to know that KidCalc Hanukkah is essentially the same app as the KidCalc 7-in-1 Math Fun app but with a bit of holiday theme injected into the background. In this Hanukkah version, the only holiday theme is a background wallpaper of the Star of David on the main screen. Some of the math games are good, and it's helpful that there are so many settings. There are several themes that can be turned off or on in the settings, but none of the themes here are Hanukkah.

Is it any good?

KIDCALC HANUKKAH MATH FUN has no Hanukkah theme-specific material other than some wallpaper with the Star of David on it on the main screen. The other holiday-themed KidCalc apps have more holiday theme visuals, so we expected more Hanukkah-specific images. The games on this app can help kids practice some basic math skills, but for kids to really enjoy and make use of this app, parents must adjust the many settings. The number tracing activity is disappointing in that it allows kids to trace incorrectly without giving corrective feedback. And the toddler voice, while cute, models pronunciation incorrectly; the adult voices are a better option.
