Is It Any Good?

This is a solid option for kids who are just learning the basics of coding. Knowin: Learn Coding manages to cover a lot of intro coding skills and it does so in an accessible and friendly manner. There isn't a lot of flash here, but it gets the job done. The thing holding it back from greatness is that, without typing, there's no room for kids to actually code. Choosing multiple choice answers to fill in the blanks of pre-existing code is fine for those who are brand new, but it's not an ideal way to absorb all of the syntax necessary to create your own programs and apps. By the time kids complete the free portion of Knowin: Learn Coding, they should probably move on to an experience where they need to code from scratch. However, Knowin: Learn Coding is a perfect way for kids to learn if they're even interested in the nitty gritty of coding, and it's well worth downloading for that alone.
