Learn Spanish with Pili Pop Espanol: Language learning methods for kids
Parent and Kid Reviews
What's It About?
First create a parent account for LEARN SPANISH WITH PILI POP ESPANOL: LANGUAGE LEARNING METHODS FOR KIDS, then tap play. Your kid chooses an icon and types his or her name. Then they choose a character to watch on a video and play one of three games or record themselves speaking Spanish with the device's microphone. Games include various, but simple, methods of play: Tapping cards to flip for a matching game, moving a line to connect a ship to a treasure chest with the correct numeral, moving a character from side to side as she catches fruit. Visit the Galeria de Fotos to see the puzzle pieces you've won add to puzzles with images of the app's characters.
Is It Any Good?
If you're looking for a subscription-based app to introduce Spanish words to your kid, this is a good option. For subscribers, Learn Spanish with Pili Pop Espanol: Language learning methods for kids offers kid-friendly vocabulary word groups that introduce kids to common words they'll be able to practice in everyday life. Many kids will also love to hear themselves repeat the words they've just learned into the device's microphone so they can hear how closely their own pronunciation matches the practice voice. On the downside, some of the games require players to continue to play a full 90 seconds before they can earn the stars and move on, which may not seem like a long time but can be tedious for kids, especially when the game itself involves a lot of repetition. Still, for parents who want a Spanish app their kids can use for a few minutes daily and can use to experience new learning content each month, this app may be worth the significant subscription price.
