What’s It About?
LITTLE CHICKIES (LOS POLLITOS) BY CANTICOS - SING, PLAY & LEARN WITH LATINO NURSERY RHYMES brings one of the most beloved Spanish nursery rhymes to life. Kids play with three cute little chickies as they learn to sing Los Pollitos Dicen in a variety of languages. To launch the app, kids tap on three eggs to hatch the three little chickies. Then they move onto a colorful home screen, tap the sun to change the time of day, tap on the chickies and bugs to see different reactions, and choose one of four creative activities to play. There's the Multilingual Radio to listen to the song Los Pollitos Dicen in eight different languages, or the Bouquet of Creative Flowers activity. There's also the Play the Guitar area to explore musical notes and watch the little chickies dance, or the Decorate An Egg activity with a variety of colors, designs, and objects. Kids can save their creations to a scrapbook, and sharing outside the app is protected by a parent gate.
Is It Any Good?
Kids will love singing and playing with these adorable little chickies as they learn to sing in a variety of languages. Open-ended activities support multilingual learning and foster creativity as kids sing along. They also practice fine motor skills and develop visual awareness by playing with shapes and musical notes. While the four included games are fun, they're also pretty simple and their appeal may be short-lived. Kids may learn the song in up to eight languages but not much else. Offering more game variety, on-screen song lyrics and even the ability to choose from more than one song would enhance Little Chickies (Los Pollitos) by Canticos - Sing, Play & Learn with Latino Nursery Rhymes.
