Learn pitch, rhythm in fun barnyard-themed music creator.

What parents need to know

Ease of play

The app has no instructions. But kids can easily drag and drop barnyard symbols onto a musical staff to create music and sound effects. Everything is visual, so there's no reading required. The only thing missing is a way of moving a note elsewhere instead of having to erase it and then place a new note.

Is it any good?

MOOZART is a whimsical app that lets kids have fun with different barnyard sounds while learning about pitch and rhythm. Kids create music by dragging symbols representing different sounds onto a Treble Clef staff. There are no time signatures or bars, but kids can create the rhythms they want by leaving more space in between the notes. Chords (multiple notes sounding at the same time) are also possible. The app would be even better if there were instructions for parents and a way for kids to save or share their musical creations; but its colorful and easy-to-learn presentation is good fun for preschoolers.
