Paracute

Skydiving teddy bear puzzler lives up to its "cute" name.

What parents need to know

Ease of play

It takes some skill to guide your skydiving teddy through the cavernous mazes that he's gliding through ever downward. Challenges grow increasingly difficult as you go, but it doesn't get too hard, too fast.

Violence & scariness

If your parachuting teddy bear doesn't land safely on a pillow, he will collapse into a painful looking heap. Of course, he is a teddy bear, though.

Parents Need to Know

Parents need to know that in the arcade game Paracute, aside from the way the teddy sort of crumbles when he lands badly, there's not much here that's of any concern. It's basically a steering game -- you guide a parachuting plush bear down a crooked stone shaft, collecting hearts on the way, with the goal of landing on a pillow. Our recommended age of 6 reflects that it takes some skill to steer your cute skydiving teddy bear to safety.

QUALITY

PARACUTE is not one of those ironically cutesy games in which a teddy bear shoots zombies or mauls campers -- it's genuinely kid-friendly. With simple back-and-forth controls, you guide your teddy bear down to a safe landing on a plush pillow. If you hit an obstacle on the way, the chute will rip and the teddy will plummet faster, but you can still guide him safely to the pillow if you've got the skill for it. And if he misses his soft landing spot, he will end up in a sad looking heap, but there's nothing too traumatic about it, as he is just a plush toy.

Cute!

I love this game! It is really addicting, which might be bad for some people, but really good for me! I really have no bad comment for this game at all! If you like this game, you will probably also like rat on a scooter and rat on the run!
