The "match three" puzzle genre is vastly overcrowded, but SAQQARAH HD is a welcome addition. Aside from the incredibly gorgeous graphics, the app is really seven completely different puzzle games in one, each with its own rules and strategies. The game is set among seven ancient Egyptian gods, each of which needs your help to restore its temple. You'll have to solve one matching puzzle after another, by sliding, twisting, relocating, popping, or swapping colored gems. The game boards change layouts constantly, so you'll always be kept on your toes, and new obstacles are added as you progress. In addition, you can play scarab-catching and hieroglyphic-reading mini-games to earn power-ups. There's so much here that you could play Saqqarah HD for months without getting tired of it.
