What parents need to know

Parents need to know that Scruffy Kitty is an interactive story about a scraggly stray cat who finds a cozy new home with a kind family. The text is spoken by a narrator and can be read in five different languages -- English, French, Dutch, Spanish, and Japanese -- with text and narration for each. The words do not highlight as they're read aloud, but that doesn't matter much because this is a story for toddlers and pre-readers.

Is it any good?

SCRUFFY KITTY is a lovely book with beautiful illustrations and a heartwarming message.
Kids will also get a kick out of watching and listening to Scruffy Kitty
react when they tap him. A second "Sticker Book" mode lets kids create
scenes using objects from the story and save the image. Scruffy Kitty doesn't have any means of pausing and resuming the story, nor is there a way to turn the narration off or see words highlighted when read. Even with these missing elements, it is a fantastic read, particularly for young children who love cats.
