SUPER WHY Paint!
Did we miss something on diversity?
Research shows a connection between kids' healthy self-esteem and positive portrayals in media. That's why we've added a new "Diverse Representations" section to our reviews that will be rolling out on an ongoing basis. You can help us help kids by suggesting a diversity update.

What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that SUPER WHY Paint! is like a coloring book and sticker book combined. Kids choose from 48 coloring pages with their favorite Super WHY! characters and then start coloring. The app doesn't have a free-draw mode; all of the painting is done by tapping an area to fill it with paint. Kids can also add a variety of stickers to their pages to make them more personal. Pictures can be saved and exported to the device's photo album as well.

Is It Any Good?
SUPER WHY PAINT! has some good points: The features work as expected, and there is some room for creative expression. However, the lack of a free-draw option will frustrate older kids, especially since some areas of each picture are tied together by color (e.g. Princess Pea's dress trim and the color of her cat's nose fill to the same color). While Super WHY! fans will enjoy decorating their favorites, and there are plenty of coloring pages available, there are better coloring apps on the market -- especially for the iPad.
