What’s It About?
SWEEPY: HOME CLEANING SCHEDULE does exactly what one might expect from the name: it helps you create and keep a cleaning schedule for your home. To get set up, you'll need to add each of your rooms, each task to be completed, how often to clean that area, and the current state of cleanliness. From there, Sweepy: Home Cleaning Schedule takes over, displaying the current state of cleanliness in each room. For premium users, there is the added benefit of having multiple users, each of whom has their own chore list, daily cleaning list, and spot on a group leaderboard. It doesn't behave as a traditional chore trackers for kids with parents signing off on tasks. Instead, it's more like an ongoing to-do list.
Is It Any Good?
This simple app is a list maker's dream: It keeps track of every single cleaning task so you don't have to. Sweepy: Home Cleaning Schedule is somewhat overwhelming to set up, with questions like "How often do you want to clean your toilet brush?" But, it's easy to make adjustments so you can start and then tweak it as you go along. There aren't a lot of frills like pictures or animations, but there's some humor tucked away for those cleaning slackers. You'll get a red, "What's that smell?" guilt trip when you're late doing your chores. Because there's a sign in requirement (Google/Apple ID), and there's no parental oversight, Sweepy: Home Cleaning Schedule won't be the best choice for managing young kids. But it will likely serve teens quite well as long as parents are willing to pay for the subscription.
