A lot or a little?

The parents' guide to what's in this app.

Ease of Play

Nothing could be easier. Kids don't have to get the tempo right. As long as they keep tapping, the song will successfully play all the way through. As they get better they can experiment with technique. For instance, lifting the finger quickly sounds a brief note. Holding the finger down makes the note last longer.

Is it any good?

Kids too wee for piano or guitar lessons? Tappy Tunes is a great way for them to "play" songs all by themselves. All they have to do is tap anywhere on the screen and notes play perfectly. As they tap, pretty graphics flash onscreen - a moon and stars for a lullaby, for instance. Over 80 childrens' classical and popular songs are included. Alternatively, set to jukebox. Speed up or slow down songs with a slider, or put on endless loop to lull kids to sleep.
