What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Tiger Woods PGA Tour is a very realistic golf sim with loads of rules and details for kids to learn and remember. It's not that they can't play if they're new to golf games, but it would be very hard for them to excel right off the bat. Unless they're playing against someone equally unskilled, that is. The game supports multiplayer matches for people on the same WiFi network. Also, be aware that if kids want to play on additional course, they need to purchase them -- with real money -- from the in-game "Pro Shop."

Is It Any Good?
TIGER WOODS PGA TOUR is fabulously well done for a mobile game. The graphics are nice and the controls -- while complicated -- can be used to truly customize every single shot. The commentary is a real highlight -- sometimes insightful, sometime insulting, sometimes funny. There's a role-playing-game aspect in the way you can upgrade and improve your custom-made character with the experience points (i.e. money) you earn. This is probably the best virtual golf you'll get on a mobile device.
