What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Winnie the Pooh Puzzle Book is a great app for board-book-age kids. There isn't really much of a story to this book, but toddlers and preschoolers can operate the app themselves and put togther the mini-jigsaw puzzles with ease. It's an app more about tactile interaction than about reading. Kids beyond kindergarten age will definitely look at it as too babyish for them.

Is It Any Good?
WINNIE THE POOH PUZZLE BOOK is a beautifully produced app that feels less like a storybook than it does a nice selection of mini-puzzles for toddlers. Technically, there is a plot: Pooh looks for honey. But that's all there is to it. The story's concise sentences mean simple comprehension for budding readers, though, which is nice. The jigsaw puzzles found on every other page are easy for young kids to handle and exercise a whole different part of their brains. There's also a find-the-honey-pots game that runs throughout the book and some fun interactive animations on the text pages. Kids over five will undoubtedly look down on the app, but for preschool audiences, it hits the right mark.
