What’s It About?
Inspired by the classic 1971 movie Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, WONKA'S WORLD OF CANDY shows you what happened before the movie. By solving a series of match-3 puzzles, you help Mr. Wonka upgrade his factory and make it a fun and safe place for the Oompa Loompas to work. As you progress, the puzzles are more difficult, while your factory gets more complicated and colorful.
Is It Any Good?
Though it has the same basic mechanics as other match-3 puzzle games, this is still fun, providing players with increasingly clever puzzles and an interesting reason to keep playing. Inspired by the classic 1971 movie Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, Wonka's World of Candy is a match-3 puzzle game where you have to move a piece of candy on a board in an attempt to line up three or more of the same kind. Doing so removes all of them from the board, awards you much needed points, and sometimes gives you a new piece of candy that has special abilities. Admittedly, this is a pretty blatant rip-off of Candy Crush and other games. But what it does have are some new mechanics, especially in the later puzzles. It also gives you a good reason to keep playing, rewarding solved puzzles with items you can use to fix up or add to Mr. Wonka's candy factory. Not only do you add some rather weird trees, but you also make it a safer and more fun work environment for the Oompa Loompas. All of which is why fans of match-3 puzzle games will get a serious sugar rush out of Wonka's World of Candy.
Talk to Your Kids About ...
Families can talk about originality. Wonka's World of Candy is very similar to other match-3 games. Do you think that's a problem? Is the game still fun?
Given that you can earn credits by playing, is there any reason to spend money on it?
