What's It About?

Like most puzzle games, WORD SWIPE PUZZLE doesn't have a story. Instead, you have to solve puzzles so you can unlock the next puzzle, and so on. To do this, you have to connect the lettered boxes that form words, but only words that fit the category you've been given. Do this, and the boxes disappear; clear all the boxes, and you've solved the puzzle and can move on to the next.

Though you can't play with friends, this word puzzle game will still keep some wordsmiths entertained. In Word Swipe Puzzle, you're presented with a series of stacked boxes, each of which has a single letter on it. By swiping in a straight line, forward or backward, you form words that fit the category of that particular puzzle. For "Sharp Things," for instance, the correct words were "sword," "saw," "blade," and "sense." Forming words removes those boxes from the playing field until there are none left, at which point you can move on to the next puzzle.

There are also power-ups for when you get stuck and need a hint or want to shuffle the boxes, while the categories tell you how many words you're looking for and how many letters it takes to make them. The only issue is that, because some of the words are big, and some of the categories are obscure, this may prove to be a bit too difficult for younger gamers. But if you're an older wordsmith (or a younger one who loves learning new words and phrases), you'll enjoy the intellectual challenge that's Word Swipe Puzzle.
