The detailed pictures of real life on the international space station are an immediate draw for young readers just learning about the letters but already fascinated by space. Astronauts Zoom!: An Astronaut Alphabet is a delightful book from renowned science author Deborah Lee Rose, with plenty of details about everyday life that are so much more exciting because they're happening in space. Washing hair and making pizza are the kind of activities that kids can relate to, and many have dreamed about what it would be like to look at Earth from far away.

At the end of the book, the detailed explanation of each letter's activity lets budding space travelers learn more about what interests them, and the list of astronauts featured in the book goes far beyond the famous names and faces we're used to seeing.
