What's the Story?

In CAT ON THE RUN IN HIDDEN LAYERS! feline internet sensation Princess Beautiful has been kidnapped by her boyfriend's evil father, who used mind control videos to brainwash everyone into believing he's president of the world. Princess is trapped on a plane with the only remaining copy of the video, and finds that watching it in reverse will reverse the brainwashing. Somehow she has to escape the plane and find a way to broadcast the video to everyone on the planet at the same time—while everyone thinks she's the evildoer! Princess Beautiful uses her fiercest fighting techniques and a lot of surprises to try and clear her name.

There isn't a rich plot or complex storyline here, but each page is packed with action and highly expressive faces. In Cat on the Run in Hidden Layers!, the evil villains have giant egos that keep them from seeing just how flimsy their control is, and the heroes have an outlandish plan that can't possibly work. That setup, coupled with nonstop action, silly banter, and earnest efforts from friends makes this a light, easy read for young readers.
